Compile the package:
patch -p1 -d prnt/drv/ -i ../hpcups.drv.in-3.9.8-reorder.patch && ./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-pp-build --disable-fax-build --disable-dbus-build && make
Install the package
make install && rm /etc/xdg/autostart/hplip-systray.desktop
Plugin
Required:
A downloadable driver plug-in is required for scanning support.
http://www.linuxprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.9.8-plugin.run
Installation:
hp-plugin -i
Scan Test
Substitute xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the IP address of the printer before.
scanimage -d"hpaio:/net/HP_Color_LaserJet_CM1017?ip=xxx.xxx.x.xxx" >foo.ppm
